When the tap barely runs, or there is no water at all, nothing else in the house works — no shower, no proper flush, no kitchen. Plumbers Ghana fixes low-pressure and no-pressure problems across Accra for homes, offices and hotels, and has. No Pressure Right Now? Read This First
Before anyone sells you a booster pump, the cause matters. Low or no pressure is just as often a low polytank, a blocked inlet filter, an airlocked or failing existing pump, or undersized pipework as it is genuinely weak mains. A booster on top of an unfixed fault wastes your money and burns out the pump. We check the source, the tank, the pump and the pipework on site first, and only fit a booster where the supply is genuinely weak. Often the real fix is a repair, and we will tell you so.
Pressure Systems We Supply, Install & Fix
Booster Pumps
Where the mains or stored supply is genuinely weak, a booster pump raises pressure to the building. We size the pump to your flow, outlets and floors — not the biggest on the shelf — and install it so it runs quietly and lasts.
Pressure Tanks
A pressure tank stores pressurised water so the pump does not switch on for every tap. The right tank stops the pump short-cycling — the single biggest cause of early pump failure. We fit, recharge and size them correctly.
”No Water Pressure” Diagnosis & Repair
Often the fault is not a missing pump at all — a blocked filter, an airlock, a failing pump or undersized pipe. We diagnose the real cause and fix it, so you are not paying for a booster to mask a problem.
Multi-Storey Pressure Zoning
In a two- or three-storey building, gravity gives the ground floor plenty and the top floor almost nothing. We zone the pressure by floor — sometimes a dedicated pump for the upper levels — so every floor gets a real shower. Designed for homes, offices and hotels.
Low Pressure — Likely Cause & Fix
| Symptom | Likely cause | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| No water at all | Empty/low polytank, failed pump | Check supply & pump, repair or restore |
| Weak trickle everywhere | Blocked inlet filter, airlock | Clear filter, bleed airlock |
| Pressure drops with two taps | Undersized supply, no booster | Size and fit a booster set |
| Upstairs weak, downstairs fine | Multi-storey gravity drop | Zone pressure by floor |
| Pump switching on/off rapidly | Pressure tank lost its charge | Fit/recharge tank, set switch |
How We Fix Low Pressure
- Tell us where the pressure is low — no water, weak trickle, drops under load, or upstairs only.
- Find the real cause first — check mains, tank, pump and pipework before recommending anything.
- Size and install the right system — booster, pressure tank and floor-by-floor zoning where genuinely needed.
- Set, test and hand over — pressure switch set, every floor tested under load, settings explained.
Standards & Trust
- Installed to the Ghana Building Code (GS 1207:2018), which covers plumbing
- Trade-certified plumbers (NVTI-certified technicians)
- Pumps, tanks and pipework sized to the building and selected to suit the duty — qualitative specification, not the cheapest fit
- We find the cause before we sell a pump, and quote before we start
What It Costs — Honestly
The pump unit is the one published figure here: booster pumps in this market list roughly GH₵300 to GH₵1,900 for the pump alone, depending on power and brand. The installation — pipework, pressure tank, switch and any zoning — is priced on survey, because it depends entirely on your building and what is actually wrong. We diagnose first, quote the whole job from an on-site look before we start, and never fit a booster to mask a fault you do not need it for. We do not use the word “cheap” — we use “the right pump, sized and quoted before we start.”

Frequently Asked Questions
I have no water pressure — what is wrong? Usually a low polytank, a blocked filter, a failing or airlocked pump, undersized pipe, or genuinely weak mains. You cannot tell which from a phone call, so we check the source, tank, pump and pipework on site first. Often the fix is a repair, not a new pump.
Do I need a booster pump, and how much? Only when the supply is genuinely weak after we rule out a blockage, airlock or failed pump. The pump unit lists roughly GH₵300–1,900 depending on power and brand; the install is priced on survey because it depends on your building.
Why is my upstairs shower weak but downstairs fine? A classic multi-storey problem — gravity gives the ground floor plenty and the top floor almost none. We fit a booster set with pressure zoned by floor so the top floor gets a real shower.
My pump switches on and off rapidly — is that a problem? Yes — that is short-cycling and it wears the pump out fast. It usually means the pressure tank lost its charge or the switch is set wrong. We fit or recharge a correctly sized tank and set the switch.
